Moving films

Mountainfilm on Tour features highlights curated from the Mountainfilm Festival, held in Telluride, Colorado each Memorial Day weekend. This year’s fest comprises an electrifying assortment of eclectic clips highlighting bicycling, downhill skiing, a grizzly in the Grand Tetons, glaciers, mountain climbing, creek life, skateboarding and so much more.

The films explore themes related to the festival’s mission of using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. The festival’s documentaries showcase stories that depict environmental, cultural, political and social justice issues. World-class athletes, changemakers and visionary artists gather for the multidimensional celebration at the Colorado festival.

This marks the fourth year for SIU’s Mountainfilm on Tour, and organizers say it correlates with the RSS mission of helping to enhance the quality of life for students, faculty, staff and the public by providing dynamic recreational and informational opportunities to create a happy, healthy community. The event typically draws a large, diverse and appreciative audience each year.

Find more information, along with a complete playlist of the featured film clips, at the Mountainfilm Festival website.
