Immigration/employment seminar is Tuesday

Immigration attorney Thomas J. Arkell will present essential immigration information and employment options for faculty and staff, along with graduate and postdoctoral students, during a seminar at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the Student Services Building, Room 170.

The seminar is free, and pre-registration is available but not required. The Office of the Associate Provost for Academic Administration is a co-presenter in this seminar.

Seminar topics will include:

• Applications for permanent residence (green cards).
• National Interest Waiver (NIW) petitions.
• Extraordinary Ability (EB-1A) petitions.
• Transitioning from F-1 OPT or J-1 to H-1B and issues related to the “H-1B cap.”
• Recent changes in immigration law, executive orders and other related issues.
