DPS volunteers distribute water to people in need

Members of SIU’s Department of Public Safety gave water and granola bars to more than 100 individuals in apparent need, along with social service agencies, on Monday, July 22. 

Kroger donated 10 cases of bottled water, and members within the SIU Police Department donated funds to purchase 200 granola bars. 

Volunteers visited the Good Samaritan House, the Carbondale Warming Center, multiple locations on Route 13 on both the east and west sides of Carbondale, U.S. 51 and neighborhoods along those routes.
