Media Advisory: Delegation from Sri Lanka to visit SIU April 12
CARBONDALE, Ill. — A Sri Lankan delegation will visit Southern Illinois University Carbondale on Friday, April 12, to further the academic and research relationships between the university and higher education institutions in Sri Lanka.
The visit will include a tour of McLafferty Annex and the BioLaunch facility as well as the Dunn-Richmond Economic Development Center. Reporters, photographers and news crews are welcome to attend the welcome reception from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. in the Student Services Building, Room 150-160.
Sri Lankan guests include Susil Premajayantha, Sri Lanka’s minister of education; E. A. Weerasinghe, vice chancellor of NSBM Green University, and Chaminda Rathnayake, deputy vice chancellor of NSBM Green University.
