Sign up now for SIU’s inaugural Glow Run on April 17

CARBONDALE, Ill. — A fun new sporting event is coming to Southern Illinois University Carbondale, courtesy of its Recreational Sports and Services.
The inaugural SIU Glow Run is set for 7 p.m. April 17 at Campus Lake, and everyone is welcome to participate. Participants are encouraged to bring their glow and neon accessories. Some “glow” will be provided for the sunset run.
The idea is to see how many laps around the lake you can make in one hour. Participants can choose to run or walk and enjoy the beauty of the lake as the sun goes down.
The cost is $5 plus a nominal registration fee. Sign up online until the time the event begins. For more information, contact Sydney Devine at sydney.devine@siu.edu.
