SIU System joins Midwest Climate Collaborative
The SIU System Office of Community Engagement has joined the Midwest Climate Collaborative, benefiting all three campuses: SIU Edwardsville, SIU Carbondale and the SIU School of Medicine.
With this membership, OCE aims to enhance collaborative efforts in addressing climate-related challenges and advancing sustainability initiatives throughout the SIU community, said Connie Frey Spurlock, interim director of the Office of Community Engagement.
“This strategic investment reflects our dedication to fostering cross-campus collaboration and supporting multisector initiatives that benefit not only our university community but also the broader regions we serve,” she said.
As part of this membership, the SIU System receives six complimentary registrations (two participants per campus) for the Midwest Climate Summit on April 3-5 in Indianapolis.
