Learn about office hours on Eclipse Day, getting special glasses

Classes on Eclipse Day (Monday, April 8) will be canceled, but the university will be open. Students will not be in class that day and are encouraged to participate in the exciting events and activities on campus. All offices will be open throughout the day but may close for a period during the afternoon so everyone can experience totality.

It is up to the supervisor of an office as to how office hours are handled on Monday, April 8. The university encourages all employees and students to get out, volunteer and experience the eclipse on campus that day.

Events and Outreach will provide eclipse glasses and viewers to each vice chancellor area and dean’s office to distribute to their employees accordingly. Glasses will also be distributed to students in various locations the first week of April and on Eclipse Day (locations are listed in the student section of the eclipse website’s FAQ page).
