Former SIU President Glenn Poshard to discuss book
Former SIU System President and U.S. Congressman Glenn Poshard along with co-author Carl Walworth will discuss their book, “Son of Illinois: Glenn Poshard’s Life in Politics and Education,” at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, in Morris Library’s John C. Guyon Auditorium.
A reception, book sale and book signing start at 6 p.m. in the library’s first-floor rotunda. Published by SIU Press in 2023, the book details the entirety of Poshard’s life and encompasses many themes important to Southern Illinois and SIU. Print and e-book copies are available through the SIU Press website, and paperbacks will be available for purchase at the event.
