Media advisory: Region 8 Science Fair Tuesday at SIU
CARBONDALE, Ill. – Reporters, photographers and news crews are welcome to cover the annual Illinois Junior Academy of Science Region 8 Science Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 27, upstairs at the Student Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. More than 150 students in grades 7-12 from the region will compete for a chance to advance to state competition in April.
Organizers have set up 19 different project categories this year. There are two judging sessions: from 8:45 to 11 a.m. and from 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Organizers will present awards beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Neckers room 240.
