A craft show vendor talks with a customer

Something for everyone at SIU’s annual Holiday Craft Sale, Nov. 30-Dec. 2

CARBONDALE, Ill. — The Holiday Craft Sale at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is just the place to find perfect gifts or treats for yourself this yuletide season.

The 45th annual craft sale is happening Nov. 30 through Dec. 2 at the Student Center. The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 2. It takes place in the Art Gallery on the first floor.

Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

Dozens of vendors

2023-11-21-5z3a3894-cv-sm-sq.jpgOrganizers say the handmade or original designs created by about 80 local and regional artists and craftspeople will be featured in this year’s sale. The artisans will offer a wide variety of items for sale including clay/pottery/ceramics, fibers, glass, wooden items, drawing, paintings, jewelry, handmade items for the body or home, holiday crafts, and countless other items for the home, personal use or gift-giving.

You will also want to check out the handiworks crafted for sale by SIU student organizations for sale to benefit their departments or student groups.

Free parking

Visitors can park in the paid lot across from the Student Center. Parking in that lot will be free during the sale hours each day.
