Graduate research forum set for Oct. 26

The amazing research, scholarly and creative activities of Southern Illinois University Carbondale graduate students will be highlighted at the 2023 Graduate Research Forum on Oct. 26 in the Student Center Art Alley, which is on the second floor. 

Students are invited to display a poster explaining their project. Interested students may sign up via their SIU D2L class Graduate Research Forum to complete their registration form. Faculty who are interested in being a judge and students must additionally use SignUpGenius to choose their session. Students should note their assigned space to hang their poster will be designated at that time. The forum is an excellent way for students to experience preparing and presenting their work. 

The research forum is open to any SIU Carbondale graduate student. Projects will be presented in one of two sessions: 9:30-10:50 a.m. or 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. The forum will then open at 12:30 p.m. for faculty, staff, students, alumni and the public to view students’ posters. The awards ceremony will be at 3:30 p.m. in the west end of the International Lounge. 

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Dean of the Graduate School is collaborating with the Graduate School and Graduate and Professional Student Council on the program.
