Secretary of State to offer services on campus

Faculty, staff and students will have two chances over the next month to utilize a number of services offered by Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias’ office. 

Giannoulias’ office will offer certain driver and vehicle services on Tuesday, Sept. 26. Driver’s license, Real ID, state identification, license plate sticker purchases, and organ and tissue donor registrations will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 and on Oct. 31 in the Student Center Renaissance Room. 

Secretary of State employees will renew, replace or correct driver’s licenses and identification cards. Motorists will also be able to buy vehicle renewal stickers for license plates, including SIU collegiate specialty plates, passenger vehicle, motorcycle and B-truck plates. Vehicle title registration and parking placards for people with disabilities are also available. 

A motorist wishing to renew their driver’s license may do so up to one year in advance of the license’s expiration date. Payment by personal checks, cash, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit and debit cards is accepted.
