Exhibit gives aerial view of SIU’s historic changes

An exhibit in Morris Library’s Hall of Presidents and Chancellors gives visitors an aerial look at the campus from nearly 80 years ago to today.

The Special Collections Research Center exhibit “Campus from Above: Then and Now,” begins with a series of aerial photographs from 1940 to 1966. Each photograph is also paired with a present-day photograph of the same view, with a brief description of the changes.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. The Hall of Presidents and Chancellors is open during the fall semester from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Special collections is open from noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
