1,000 to attend SIU’s Black Alumni Group reunion this week
CARBONDALE, Ill. – About 1,000 members of the Black Alumni Group will visit campus this week with the organization’s 2023 gathering, “Uniting the Generations” from July 20-23.
Events for the biennial reunion include parties, scholarship awards, a luncheon, campus tours, a banquet with special guest Chancellor Austin A. Lane and more.
With roots going back to 1972, the Black Alumni Group, a constituent organization of the SIU Alumni Association, has held reunions every other year since 1991.
