Affirmative Action and Equity and Compliance offices move to Human Resources

The University Affirmative Action and Equity and Compliance offices have been realigned under the Human Resources umbrella, effective July 1.

This strategic realignment will allow for a more comprehensive approach to managing people related compliance issues and lay a strong foundation for building a modern and robust talent acquisition strategy in the months and years to come, said Assistant Vice Chancellor for Human Resources Nick Wortman.

The Office of Equity and Compliance will remain in its current location on the fourth floor of Woody Hall.  Affirmative Action will relocate to the HR Suite on the first floor of Woody Hall, which is expected to happen July 13 or 14. The Affirmative Action website will be updated with the office’s new address when the move is complete. Staff in both offices will remain the same, as will current phone numbers and email addresses.

“I am excited about welcoming Affirmative Action and Equity and Compliance to the HR team,” Wortman said. “This move will allow us to better serve our students, faculty and staff immediately and position us to be more strategic in the area of recruitment into the future. I am honored to lead such talented and capable teams.”
