Volunteers needed to help students move in Aug. 16-18
Openings are available for faculty, staff and units on campus to help create a positive first Saluki impression by helping new and returning students move into residence halls in August prior to the start of the fall 2023 semester.
The move-in days are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 16-17 for new students and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 18 for returning students. Sign up is available at University Housing’s updated volunteer page. Volunteer group signup forms are also available by contacting Kenea Lee, interim assistant director of residence life at kenealee@siu.edu or Amy Preston, office support associate, University Housing, at amy.preston@siu.edu.
Volunteers who register before July 24 are guaranteed a T-shirt. There will be a few extra shirts on-site during the move-in, but shirt or size availability cannot be guaranteed for those who register after July 24.
