Media advisory: Incoming SIU students celebrate today’s Decision Day at local schools
CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois University Carbondale officials are visiting Southern Illinois high schools to celebrate the students’ decision to attend SIU this fall. The officials will congratulate the students and provide special giveaways.
The schedule includes:
10:30 a.m.: Marion High School
11:30 a.m.: Herrin High School
12:15 p.m.: Johnston City High School
2:40 p.m.: Murphysboro High School
Reporters, photographers and news crews can meet the SIU delegation in the school’s guidance counselor’s office. SIU officials will be available for interviews.
Officials also will go to John A. Logan College and Rend Lake College today, and they will visit Carbondale Community High School later this week.
