Open forums for associate dean and Graduate School director set
Three internal candidates for associate dean and director of the graduate school will meet online with faculty, staff and students during a series of forums starting next week.
The candidates, in alphabetical order, are:
Karen L. Jones, professor, animal science, interim associate dean and director of the Graduate School.
Cheng-Yao Lin, professor, mathematics education, Curriculum and Instruction.
Crystal V. Shelby-Caffey, associate professor of languages, literacies and culture, Curriculum and Instruction.
Each of the online open forums are from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. During their open forums, the candidates will discuss the “Challenges and the Future of Graduate Education at SIU Carbondale.” The schedule, with the respective Zoom links, meeting IDs and passcodes is:
