Join conversation March 23 to learn more about leadership

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Faculty, staff and students are invited to an inspiring event on March 23 as Dawn Korte shares her unexpected leadership story.

“Rise Up: An Unplanned Leadership Story” is set for 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the John C. Guyon Auditorium at Morris Library. The College of Business and Analytics’ Office of Diversity and Inclusion is sponsoring the free event.

Korte has a quarter-century of expertise and expertise in operations, finance and human resources acquired through a career in multiple industries. An alumna of SIU, Korte earned her bachelor’s degree in legal studies at SIU and holds an MBA from Lindenwood University and a doctorate in educational leadership from Saint Louis University.

Recently retired as an executive human resources adviser for SAP, she has earned recognition for achieving strategic goals by connecting people, processes and technology to bring about organizational transformation. Korte, who serves on the SIU Foundation Women’s Leadership Council, will share about her personal journey, offering valuable information and insights on the importance of resilience and adapting to change and how to alter your life plan.
