Faculty research support for travel is available

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research is announcing a program that to provide partial funding to assist researchers to travel to meet with funding agencies, program offices, industry or foundations to explore sponsored program opportunities.

Applicants must hold an academic rank of assistant professor or higher and be employed full-time in a tenured or tenure track position. The travel grants can be for up to one-half of the total travel costs to be matched by centers, schools, colleges or the traveler. Applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the visit.

Faculty members may receive up to $1,000 each academic year under this program. Funding is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, based on available funds.
