Media advisory: New mural being painted at Life Science II
CARBONDALE, Ill. — Art and science will collide this week at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, when a graduate student in art will spend several days painting a mural on a wall at the Life Science II building.
The SIU School of Medicine is working with the School of Art and Design on the project, which is scheduled to be completed during Thanksgiving break. Kayleigh Doyle, a graduate student in art, is leading the project.
Reporters, photographers and news crews are invited to view the project in progress any time after Wednesday, Nov. 23, once the mural begins to take shape.
