Reminder: Feeling sick? Mask up

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to wear a mask they are feeling sick to protect other people and the community, according to the Emergency Operations Center. As of today, Nov. 3, Jackson County is a medium level of community transmission.

At this level, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that you stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations and get tested if you have symptoms, a positive test or are exposed to someone with COVID-19.

People are also encouraged to wear masks if they are on public transportation; though it is a good time to wear a mask at any time as an additional precaution for yourself and others. The CDC also recommends people who are at high risk of severe illness should consider wearing a mask indoors in public and taking additional precautions.
