Halloween Family Concert is Friday

Everyone is invited come in costume as the Southern Illinois Symphony Orchestra performs its Halloween Family Concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, in Shryock Auditorium. The concert features part 1 of the symphony’s introduction to orchestral masterpieces from the Baroque era to our time, especially designed for families. The works will include the “William Tell Overture,” Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet” and Aleksandr Borodin’s “Polovtsian Dances.” Tickets are available at the door — $20 for general admission, $10 for students of any age. The event is part of the symphony’s five-part concert series.
