Media Advisory: SIU expert can discuss Ukraine, Russia
As the war in Ukraine is in its seventh month and Russian President Vladimir Putin declares an illegal annexation of four Ukrainian regions, Southern Illinois University Carbondale has an expert in the region’s history who can assist reporters and news crews.
Theodore R. Weeks, professor of history, can discuss the historical background of the two countries, and teaches courses in world, European, Eastern European, Polish and Russian history.
