University announces three new appointments

Three Salukis have been appointed to leadership positions in the Graduate School, Center for Teaching Excellence and University Core Curriculum, after internal searches were conducted on the campus. Their appointments will begin July 1. 

  • Karen Jones, interim associate dean of the Graduate School. Jones is a professor in the School of Agricultural Sciences. 
  • Craig Engstrom, director of the Center for Teaching Excellence. Engstrom an associate professor in the School of Communication Studies, the director of undergraduate studies and the Saluki Success program course adviser.
  • Jebaraj Asirvatham, director of the University Core Curriculum. Asirvatham is an associate professor in the School of Agricultural Sciences, the graduate program coordinator in Agribusiness Economics and currently serves as the interim coordinator for University Core Curriculum.
