Chancellor’s Faculty-Staff Lounge schedule for May
As the semester winds down, next month’s schedule of the Chancellor’s Faculty-Staff Lounge at Old Main is announced.
Opened in September, the lounge is a place for faculty and staff to meet in an informal setting and get to know one another across departments. The faculty-staff lounge is open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and people are invited to bring their lunch or purchase food from the Student Center dining on the first floor.
Anyone interested in reserving the faculty-staff lounge for an event, or who would like to serve as a host, can email events@siu.edu.
The hosts for the month are:
- Monday, May 2 — Open lunch.
- Wednesday, May 4 — Human Resources benefits staff, benefits choice Q&A.
- May 6 — CLOSED for previously scheduled event.
- May 9 — Open lunch.
- May 11 — CLOSED for private event.
- May 13 — Wil Clark, interim chief information officer, Information Technology.
- May 16 — Open lunch.
- May 18 — Open lunch.
- May 20 — Open lunch.
- May 23 — CLOSED for previously scheduled event.
- May 25 — Open lunch.
- May 27 — Open lunch.
- May 30 — CLOSED for Memorial Day holiday.
