Media Advisory: SIU Carbondale, SIUE, and WashU ROTC programs plan field training exercise April 21-24
SAINT CHARLES, Mo. — Southern Illinois University Carbondale, SIU Edwardsville, and Washington University in St. Louis ROTC programs will be training as future officers of the U.S. Army from 3 p.m. Thursday, April 21, to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at Weldon Springs Reserve Training Center, 266 Soldiers Drive, St. Charles, Missouri.
Over 120 ROTC members will take on life as a cadet for the weekend. They will be trained in the practical circumstances of life in the field. Leaders will conduct missions, and members will be knowledgeable apply tactics to determine the best outcome.
