Emeritus faculty works featured in University Museum exhibition

A reception and artist talks by emeritus faculty Jerry Monteith and Daniel Overturf are scheduled at University Museum this month.

“Parting Shots,” featuring sculptures by Monteith and four new collections of never before exhibited photography by Overturf have been on display in the museum since the start of the spring 2022 semester. Both artists retired from the School of Art and Design faculty in 2021.

A reception is scheduled from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 15. Monteith’s artist talk is from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 16, with Overturf’s talk from 2 to 4 p.m., April 23.

The exhibition is on display until May 7.

Admission to the museum is free, and it is open to the public. The museum, art galleries and both halls are open Tuesdays-Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays, 1-4 p.m. Public metered parking is available across from the Student Center and beside Woody Hall.
