Chancellor’s Faculty-Staff Lounge schedule for March
The Chancellor’s Faculty-Staff Lounge at Old Main has several university hosts lined up for next month.
Opened in September, the lounge is a place for faculty and staff to meet in an informal setting and get to know one another across departments. The faculty-staff lounge is open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and people are invited to bring their lunch or purchase food from the Student Center dining on the first floor.
Anyone interested in reserving the faculty-staff lounge for an event, or who would like to serve as a host, can email events@siu.edu.
The hosts for the month are:
- Monday, Feb. 28 — Paul Frazier, vice chancellor for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Wednesday, March 2 — Lisa Caringer, director, Disability Support Services.
- March 4 — Wil Clark, interim chief information officer, Information Technology.
- March 7 — CLOSED for spring break.
- March 9 — CLOSED for spring break.
- March 11 — CLOSED for spring break.
- March 14 — Paul Frazier, vice chancellor for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- March 16 — Lynn Andersen Lindberg, executive director, SIU Research Park, with free beverages, desserts and virtual reality experience.
- March 18 — CLOSED for previously scheduled event.
- March 21 — Chancellor Austin A. Lane, noon – 1 p.m.
- March 23 — Q&A with Human Resources staff.
- March 25 — Performances by Musical Theater students.
- March 28 — Open lunch.
