Media advisory: 200+ students registered for SIU open house on Feb. 21
CARBONDALE, Ill. – Reporters, photographers and news crews are invited to cover Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s in-person open house for prospective students on Monday, Feb. 21. More than 200 students have registered for the free event for Salukis who will be new to SIU in fall 2022 or later and their families.
The event will be based at the Student Center and include a student panel, campus tours, housing tours, academic showcases and a resource fair. Check in begins at 7:30 a.m. An early bird bus tour will take place from 7:45-8:15 a.m. The program starts at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude by 4. University leaders, faculty and staff will be on site to answer any questions. For a schedule of activities, visit the admissions website.
