Chancellor’s Faculty-Staff Lounge schedule for February
The Chancellor’s Faculty-Staff Lounge at Old Main has several university hosts lined up for next month.
Opened in September, the lounge is a place for faculty and staff to meet in an informal setting and get to know one another across departments. The faculty-staff lounge is open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and people are invited to bring their lunch or purchase food from the Student Center dining on the first floor.
Anyone interested in reserving the faculty-staff lounge for an event, or who would like to serve as a host, can email events@siu.edu.
The hosts for the month are:
- Wednesday, Feb. 2 — Corné Prozesky, director, Recreational Sports and Services.
- Friday, Feb. 4 — Open lunch.
- Monday, Feb. 7 — Open lunch.
- Feb. 9 — Open lunch.
- Feb. 11 — Wil Clark, interim chief information officer, Information Technology.
- Feb. 14 — Open lunch.
- Feb. 16 — Open lunch.
- Feb. 18 — Open lunch.
- Feb. 21 — Jeff Gleim, executive director, SIU Alumni Association.
- Feb. 23 — Q&A with Human Resources staff.
- Feb. 25 — Open lunch.
- Feb. 28 — Paul Frazier, vice chancellor for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
