Nominate an inspiring colleague for a Sturgis Public Service Award

Know someone who inspires you for their commitment to public service and community? Nominations for the Lindell W. Sturgis Memorial Public Service Award are being accepted. 

Established in 1979, the award is presented by the SIU Board of Trustees to an SIU Carbondale employee to recognize public service efforts and “contributions to the community, area, state or nation,” based upon activities unrelated to the employee’s job responsibilities. This prestigious award includes a cash gift of $750 and a plaque.
