Volunteers needed to review Chancellor's Scholarship candidates
The Financial Aid Office invites faculty and staff to be a part of the selection process for the fall 2022 class of Chancellor Scholarship recipients.
Each year, 25 to 30 high-achieving incoming freshman are chosen to receive the scholarship of more than $102,000 over four years to cover tuition, mandatory fees, and on-campus room and board. Finalists have been invited to submit an interview online, and volunteers will review and score the submitted interviews.
The reviews will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 25 in the SIU Student Center. Volunteers will need to be present for the entire day. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
Volunteers may indicate interest at https://bit.ly/3xOiKbk by Dec. 22. Volunteer committee selections will be made the first week of January, and there will be training prior to the interviews.
