Commencement volunteers sought
Faculty and staff are invited to help Saluki Nation and celebrate the accomplishments of 1,400 of our newest alumni by volunteering to assist with fall 2021 commencement exercises on Dec. 11 at the Banterra Center.
The graduates and their families invited to participate in ceremonies are from the summer and fall 2021 graduating classes. The ceremonies are at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Commencement volunteer registration signup is available.
Per campus and Illinois guidelines, masks will be required at all Commencement ceremonies. Most volunteer positions involve standing, but accommodations may be made for anyone who wishes to volunteer. Please note any needs on the volunteer sign up form. A brief training session for volunteers will be held Thursday, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. in Tedrick Auditorium, off the east lobby of Banterra Center. For more information, contact events@siu.edu or 618-453-7424.
