‘SIU-Guest’ Wi-Fi network access change is Friday

The Office of Information Technology is alerting the university community that beginning Friday, Oct. 29 the way that family and friends will access the SIU-Guest Wi-Fi is changing to make access easier for campus guests. 

Once the change takes place, all guests will need to do is find “SIU-Guest” in their available networks list, enter their contact information and approve the Acceptable Use Policy. No password is required. The contact information needed will be first and last name, telephone number, email address and service provider, such as AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. 

Guests will receive a code via SMS once they complete the process. After entering the code, guests will receive access for 12 hours before being required to repeat the access process.
