Chancellor’s Faculty-Staff Lounge schedule
A variety of university faculty and staff highlight the September schedule for the Chancellor’s Faculty-Staff Lounge at Old Main.
Opened earlier this month, the lounge is a place for faculty and staff to meet in an informal setting and get to know one another across departments. The faculty-staff lounge is open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and people are invited to bring their lunches.
The speakers and hosts for the rest of the month are:
- Wednesday, Sept. 22 – Meera Komarraju, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs.
- Friday, Sept. 24 – Pinckney Benedict, professor, English. This interactive presentation will involve virtual reality demonstrations where faculty and staff can try out headsets.
- Monday, Sept. 27 – Paul Frazier, vice chancellor for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Sept. 29 – Matt Baughman, chief of staff.
The Chancellor’s Faculty and Staff Lounge will be closed Oct. 1 due to a previously scheduled event.
