SIU continues building partnerships with local educators, legislative leaders

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Since 2020, Southern Illinois University Carbondale has taken several measures to strengthen ties with local leaders, including superintendents, principals, counselors and state legislators. 

On Sept. 9, SIU officials and staff met with local leaders to provide updates on university initiatives and reinforce that students can get a premier education close to home.
