Student Center facilities, services open to campus groups, organizations
With a new semester underway, Conference and Scheduling Services wants to remind campus groups and organizations that the Student Center offers a wide variety of indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces and audio-visual services, along with many other planning services to assist with organizing in-person, virtual or hybrid happenings.
The facilities can host small, intimate groups or larger gatherings. With spacious ballrooms, multiple lounges, an auditorium and 28 multifunction meeting rooms, the Student Center has the right space for a variety of programs and activities. There are also multiple outdoor options, along with opportunities for fun group activities at the Craft Shop, E-Sports and Bowling & Billiards. Dining options are available, too.
Any campus (or off-campus) organization or unit can use the spaces for:
- Conferences.
- Retreats.
- Meetings.
- Training sessions.
- Workshops.
- Parties.
- A variety of other special events.
The experienced and knowledgeable staff can assist with creative planning solutions, and flexible options exist to accommodate for various budgets and protocols. SIU is committed to protecting the community, so current campus and state pandemic safety protocols will be followed.
