Faculty and staff volunteers needed for Saluki Startup, Weeks of Welcome
New Student Programs is seeking faculty and staff volunteers to assist with a wide variety of special events that will take place during Saluki Startup (Aug. 12-15) and Weeks of Welcome (Aug. 16-Sept. 25).
Faculty and staff can sign up here to help with Light Up the Lake, the Chancellor’s Welcome Fest and numerous other activities that begin Aug. 12. The Office of Student Engagement also welcomes volunteers to sign up to help with the popular Dawgs Nite Out on Aug. 14 at the Student Center. In addition, volunteers may sign up here to welcome new students and answer general SIU questions at any of the Saluki Stop Shop information tents located around campus during the first two days of classes, Aug. 16-17.
The schedule of events for Saluki Startup and Weeks of Welcome continues to evolve. Find all of the details at wow.siu.edu/saluki-startup. Faculty and staff are encouraged to share with students the website and the Saluki Superfan app, which features details about these events and other activities all year long.
