Media advisory: Nearly 80% of SIU survey respondents report they are vaccinated

Nearly 80% of respondents to a survey of Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s students, faculty and staff report they are fully vaccinated or will receive their second shot before fall classes start Aug. 16. 

The university conducted the survey as an aid to making plans for a fall semester with in-person classes and activities. SIU has promoted vaccinations since March and will continue to do so. The latest initiative is the Protect the Pack incentive program.
