Media advisory: SIU to deliver scholarships in person at area schools

CARBONDALE — Southern Illinois high school seniors will learn about scholarships from SIU Carbondale in a personal way over the next few weeks. 

Amanda Sutton, interim director of admissions, will attend scholarship nights at several local high schools to inform students of the merit-based awards they have received from SIU. Reporters and news crews are invited to cover the events. 

“It’s important for schools in our own area to know SIU is here for them,” she said. “It’s is an honor to personally deliver the news to future Salukis.”

Johnston City High School: April 27

Marion High School: May 3

Herrin High School: May 6

Murphysboro High School: May 11

Benton Consolidated High School: May 13

Agape Christian High School: May 29
