Additional single-dose COVID-19 vaccines available Saturday

SIU faculty, staff and students can receive the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccination at clinics at Banterra Center and the Carbondale Civic Center on Saturday, April 10. The Jackson County Health Department has also scheduled walk-in clinics for those who want to receive the first of the two-dose Pfizer vaccine today, April 8, and Friday, April 9.

This is an excellent opportunity for SIU students to get the vaccine prior to the end of the semester and returning home. Vaccines are available to any Illinois resident age 16 and older, including in-state and out-of-state SIU students. Students should bring their SIU ID cards.

For more information, visit the Jackson County Health Department website or call 618-684-3143.

The health department is responsible for vaccinations. The university is collaborating with and assisting local health agencies.
