Vaccines available for Illinois residents age 16 and up
Beginning today, March 29, the Jackson County Health Department will accept vaccination appointments from any Illinois resident age 16 and older, regardless of health condition or occupation. For more information about making an appointment, visit the Jackson County Health Department website.
At Banterra Center, the Johnson & Johnson single dose vaccine will be administered today, March 29. The first of two doses for the Pfizer vaccine are available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
At the Carbondale Civic Center, the first of two doses for the Pfizer vaccine is available on Tuesday, with the Johnson & Johnson single dose vaccine available on Thursday.
The health department is responsible for vaccinations and will schedule more clinic days soon. The university is collaborating with and assisting local health agencies.
