Diversity training virtual workshops for April start Thursday
The Office of Associate Chancellor for Diversity has a schedule for diversity training workshops for April.
The free, two-hour virtual workshops will cover several areas and are open to faculty, staff and students.
Workshop topics include:
- April 1: 10 a.m. to noon, How to use pronouns.
- April 6: 10 a.m. to noon, Ableism in higher education.
- April 12: 9-11 a.m., Anti-racism/anti-bias level 2.
- April 15: 9-11 a.m., Ableism in higher education.
- April 22: 9-11 a.m., Fatphobia: What is it, how does it affect people and how do I contribute to it?
- April 26: noon to 2 p.m., Diversity and inclusivity level 2 (faculty and staff only).
- April 29: 8:30-10:30 a.m., Discussing white privilege: What is it, what does it mean and what should be done with it?
