Diversity training virtual workshops for March set
The Office of Associate Chancellor for Diversity has a schedule for diversity training workshops for March.
The free, two-hour virtual workshops will cover several areas and are open to faculty, staff and students. Two of March’s workshops will be in-person sessions. Workshop schedules for April and May are pending.
Workshop topics for March include:
- March 2: 9-11 a.m., White privilege (faculty and staff only). In-person meeting will be in Student Services Building, Room 150-160.
- March 2: noon to 2 p.m., Allyship for the LGBTQ+ community: How to use pronouns.
- March 4: 9-11 a.m., Diversity and inclusivity level 2.
- March 8: 10 a.m. to noon, Ableism in higher education.
- March 9: 1-3 p.m., Anti-racism/anti-bias level 2.
- March 11: 10 a.m. to noon, Diversity and inclusivity, level 1.
- March 15: 10 a.m. to noon, Fatphobia: What is it, how does it affect people and how do I contribute to it?
- March 16: 5:30-7:30 p.m., Diversity in the LGBTQ+ community (by LGBTQ+ folks, for LGBTQ+ folks).
- March 18: noon to 2 p.m., Allyship for the LGBTQ+ community: How to use pronouns. In-person meeting will be in Student Services Building, Room 150-160.
