Microsoft Teams for Education introductory sessions are set
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is rolling out Microsoft Teams for Education to the campus in December and can provide support to help faculty incorporate this unique toolset to support digital classroom environments and academic activity.
An introductory session that covers Teams’ benefits and features is at 10 a.m. Dec. 9. Another session is at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 7. Registration for either hourlong session is available.
Teams is a virtual hub that brings conversations, documents and applications together into a single communication platform. Teams for Education extends the toolset to give faculty, support staff and assistants the ability to create vibrant, collaborative, virtual classroom settings using features like end-to-end assignment management, which structures the distribution and grading of interactive lessons.
Teams for Education also provides the ability to:
- Conduct quick conversations and provide timely feedback to students.
- Collaborate on assignments in real time.
- Stay up-to-date on individual student progress.
- Manage live class lectures and meetings.
