SIU’s Rec Center offering students and members free FitBod access

by Christi Mathis

CARBONDALE, Ill. — The personal training program FitBod is coming to Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Student Recreational Sports and Services, and all SIU students and RSS members can enjoy six months of free personal training through the app if they sign up now.

RSS is committed to fully serving students and members during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, officials said. So, they looked for a way to assure students and patrons can continue to enjoy quality workouts, no matter where they are.

Now, SIU has partnered with FitBod to offer complimentary access to the full version of the app for students and members who sign up before Dec. 1. They will be able to work out with fitness sessions tailored specifically to them through May 31, 2021. The app modifies workouts based upon each participant’s abilities, fitness goals, available equipment and individual situations.
