More than 300 SIU Carbondale employees will be honored for their service

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois University Carbondale will recognize 308 employees for their service and commitment in a virtual ceremony on Dec. 4.

The virtual event will take place at 9 a.m. Chancellor Austin A. Lane will introduce the program, and the university’s vice chancellors and deans will announce the honorees from their respective areas via Zoom. Anyone may watch the program live via a link on YouTube. Employees and retirees will receive their pins and certificates after the event.

The event will honor employees with 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service to SIU Carbondale. The employees have a combined total of 5,475 years of service to the university. There are 43 employees with 25 years of service, 14 employees with 30 years of service, six employees with 35 years of service and one employee with 40 years of service.
