Faculty and staff can order regalia Sept. 22
University Events and Protocol is announcing a faculty and staff regalia sale next week through Herff Jones, a national provider of custom regalia.
Based on what the university now knows under the Restore Illinois Plan, SIU will not be able to hold an in-person commencement ceremony in December. The university is looking at opportunities for a virtual commencement ceremony and plan to offer an opportunity to participate in face-to-face ceremonies in the future.
However, Mark Krevin, the university’s Herff Jones representative, will be on campus Sept. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Anthony Hall, Room 15, to assist faculty and staff in ordering regalia. Krevin will be available by appointment -- either in-person or by virtual call. Masks are required for the in-person appointments.
Those unable to meet with Krevin on Sept. 22 may contact him at hjringman@att.net or 314/669-5991 to order regalia and to receive the available discount.
SIU commencement and convocation exercises require full academic regalia to showcase our faculty to our students, parents, and alumni at these special occasions.
