Diversity training workshops set to begin
The Office of Associate Chancellor for Diversity will begin hosting diversity training workshops for the spring semester next month.
The free workshops will cover several areas and are open to faculty, staff and students.
Workshop topics over the semester include:
- Microaggressions.
- Introducing Diversity and Inclusion.
- Becoming an Ally.
- Equity in the Classroom.
- Cultural Appropriation.
- Intersectionality and Its Impact.
An April 23 luncheon workshop on Equity in the Classroom is planned in conjunction with Diversity Week on campus.
It is important to know that workshops will be cancelled if a minimum number of participants to adequately conduct the training event is not reached. Check the diversity training and the D2L page for updates on trainings or cancellations. Cancellations will be posted two business days before the session is to be held. Information on training updates and cancellations is available.
